Can anyone provide a relationship between Alan and Bob Anshen?  They bear a striking resemblence.

Followup ... evidently not ... further research does not reveal a link.

Can't answer your question about any relationship but the Eichler name brings back memories.

I grew up in an Eichler in Palo Alto and much later when I bought my first home in Sunnyvale on Dawn Dr I found an old building permit in the garage with Eichler's name on it. Turns out it was one of the very early Eichlers...actually his second development and the first with his name attached. No radiant heating and no wooden walls but it had the flat pitched roof and large windows bringing the outside into the home. The home was small but the layout was efficient and gave a sense of space.

We were at a little party together in the 7th or 8th grade, and danced and danced.  He got a crush on me, but I didn't return it.  His mom gave him a birthday party, and she begged me to come, but I wouldn't, because Al just wasn't popular enough for me and my shallow little perspective as a 13 year old.  I cringe to remember this, and think just how vulnerable and insecure and unformed we are at that age.  Al and I never talked again.  Al, wherever you are, I am sorry I was such a little snob.  May you dance on...
