Very sorry to learn that Bill is not with us anymore.  When we were in the 5th and 6th grades at Palo Verde, we joined a group called the Junior Indian Rooters and got to go to Stanford football games for free.  We had our own yell leaders who would lead us in cheers.  His mother drove us over and picked us up after the games.  On the way back, we usually stopped at the A&W on Middlefield and that was always a treat.  Those were fun times.  It got me interested in Stanford football and I'm a fan to this day.  I still try to go to a game or two every year.  It's more fun now that they actually have a good team.  Miss you Bill.

I knew "Billy" Abarca for many years - from elementary school at Palo Verde through high school. He was a very nice guy and I will always remember him and I was sad to learn of his passing. I truly wish his family peace and my sincere sympathy in his passing.
